A Look Back at 2019
It’s been a crazy 2019, but also an enjoyable one!
While things have not always gone smoothly for me this past year, I try not to focus on the negative things or to be too hard on myself. I think at times all of us question the decisions we’ve made in our lives, and reflect on how things could be different. And we sometimes lose confidence in ourselves (perhaps because of some feedback received) even though we are knowledgeable and experienced in our skill set.
Now that it’s 2020, I’m ready to re-set and refresh. To begin the year with a positive state of mind, I wanted to share my gratitude of 2019. In truth, a lot of wonderful things happened: I spent more time family, saw friends I haven’t seen in awhile, and I traveled to some beautiful places. I wanted to create a video about 2019 and feature my friends and family but, you know, privacy rights and all. Instead, I made a video of the traveling I did.
This was not an easy task and, since I wanted to have it posted by December 31, I put myself under a lot of pressure (and maybe two sleepless nights). I had to review all the footage I had collected, review music that would best convey the tone, and then edit, edit, edit. Now I understand why YouTubers take awhile to post!!! And if you’re a perfectionist like me, it’s hard to stop editing until it’s time to finally (maybe) let go.
Considering that this one of my “creative” projects, instead of the Tour My Hotel Room series I post on my YouTube channel (search #hellomisstina on YouTube), and that I am still going through the learning curve with video editing, I didn’t want to be too hard myself. Again, my intention was only to show gratitude that I truly did have an enjoyable 2019.
For 2020, I still have to work out some schedules for content, but I’ll post updates as much as I can. Thank you for your patience and understanding as I work through this. And also, sorry about being MIA in December. :(
